I'm actually amazed it has taken me this long to get around to posting this recipe. I must make Green Bean Stir Fry at least once every two or three weeks. It's a staple in our dinner rotation.
This is what I like to call a "no-chop" kind of recipe. Short of grating some garlic or ginger, you're simply adding ingredients straight to the sautee pan.
I love Green Bean Stir Fry because it's super flavorful, quick to make, and pretty nutritious, especially if serving with brown rice. My kids even enjoy this one!
Green Bean Stir Fry
Ingredients
· 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
· 1 ½ lb ground pork or turkey
· 1 tbsp chopped garlic
· 2 tbsp fresh, grated ginger
· 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
· 4 tbsp sweet chili sauce
· 6 tbsp hoisin sauce
· 16oz frozen, chopped green beans
Heat large sautee pan over medium high heat. Drizzle the olive oil over the bottom of the pan. Add the pork or turkey. Crumble into small pieces in the bottom of the pan using the back of a spoon. Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the meat is cooked through.
Stir in the garlic and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in the soy sauce, chili sauce, and hoisin sauce. Toss in the green beans. Cover the pan and cook over low heat until green beans are cooked yet still crisp.
Serve over steamed white or brown rice.
Serves 4-6
